what goes into the septic system

I accept asked several septic companies that question about using septic additives. The reply I accept gotten (and have also seen in numerous manufactures) is that septic tank additives are a waste matter of money. They incorporate bacteria, which are already in your septic system, and go replenished everytime yous flush the toilet with poop in it.

The use of caustic bleed cleaners, as opposed to enzyme cleaners, are "safe" for septic systems in then far equally when they are used in moderation, they are quite diluted in the septic tank (and further by your dosing tank). The same goes for cleaning agents or bleach. In moderation they are diluted so much that they are not a problem.
Oil and grease are a different problem. They will bladder on top of the water in the septic tank and course a foamy scum. The tank tin tolerate a moderate corporeality of oil, but too much oil will carry over (in your case, to the dosing tank).
Some other problem with caustic drain cleaners is that if they do not unclog a clog, you are stuck with a drain full of caustic water, making it very dangerous to practise whatever further interventions. Many times, when a bleed gets slow, it is improve to pull the tub trip lever and drain assembly (or disassemble the trap of a sink) and clean out the pilus manually.
