It is not recommend removing Installed updates. To assist enhance the security and functioning of your computer, nosotros do not recommend removing updates

1. Type Command Panel on the search bar, then become to Programs and Features, Click View Updates
2. Click the update that you want  to remove, and then click Uninstall.  If you're prompted for an administrator countersign or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Even so I believe you lot misunderstood the question.  I practise not want to uninstall any updates, simply rather the files that are kept after the install has been processed.  I have since discovered that I simply need to go to the properties view of the C drive and hitting the button for Disk Cleanup.  I was able to safely remove nearly 4GB of left over install files.

Hello Alic,

The Windows.old directory tin can't exist deleted, because you first have to take buying.

1. Oper explorer

2. Open binder properties of Windows.sometime binder (correct click)

3. Open up the tab Security

4. Click Advanced

5. At the pinnacle information technology says "Possessor"

vi. Click Alter

7. Equally in the picture above type your ADMINISTRATOR name and click check names.

eight. Click OK to shut this small window and Cease !!!

Cheque the higher up picture for the side by side stride...

 ix. Tick the option "Supersede all child object permission entries... BLA BLA BLA..."

10. Click OK and take a coffee break... This may take a while... You will get several questions during deletion.

I myself don't understand why windows wouldn't requite you the selection to delete the Windows.old directory, because for a standard user it's impossible to delete. It would be overnice to be asked the question later on a week or so...
